For some, Jaco really is the main hub of the Central Pacific. It is the closest beach town from the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose. Jaco has been nicknamed "Jaco-Pulco" in recent years as it shows signs of becoming a city like Alcapulco in Mexico. Many know this is Jaco's destiny.
   Today, one sees continual construction of high rise condo projects right on the beach as well as a few rows back. There are at least 20 condo projects with pending permits that will rise anywhere from 12 stories to 24 stories high along the water front. A water front promanade is also proposed which will really bring in more of a family fun atmosphere to the beach scene. This has been the intent of many of the mainstay developers in Jaco- to bring back the families to live or to come for vacation. We have more to see of Jaco in the years to come!
   Jaco beach is one of the only areas in Costa Rica with TITLED beachfront land!
